:iconpinkieisconfusedplz::iconsays3plz:I sort of slipped up there and I grabbed the first thing I could when I fell. I'm super sorry!:iconsays3eplz:

-----------------

Just a drawing I wanted to do. Even though it's been done to death by a lot of other folks out there, I just had to do one too. It's a part of a comic idea that's rolling around my head right now, and I'll probably be working on it over the next week or so, when I have the time.

I uploaded this one in a larger resolution than normal because I intended this to be a wallpaper (all that extra space is intentional), so you folks can resize it as you need to!

Thank you!
You could try using GIMP or Paint.net. They're both free alternatives to Photoshop, and they're both just as good as it. The skill will come over time, you just gotta work at it! =)

Ahh thanks man, i've recently started drawing but i'm so impatient i can't do it for long enough to make anything productive. GIMP seems good, will try a bunch and hopefully get better! I love this picture, it just makes me smile every time i see it! :)

Nothing wrong with being impatient! Whenever you start a piece, just work on it a little at a time every day. Soon enough, you'll reach that point where you'll want to just power through and finish it because it's so close to completion. Sure, you'll have those days you just don't want to draw. Depending on how you are, you could try drawing anyway, or you could just take a little break and try again the next day.

Hahah, I'm glad you like this piece that much! =D

Well that seems like sound advice, i'll try not to get annoyed at myself and crumple the paper/hit delete and just save it instead. Looking at getting a tablet because pencils annoy the heck out of me, anything you would recommend? (:

I use a slightly older model Wacom Bamboo tablet. It's a good brand, and quite useful for shading. It's pretty responsive, too. It's easy to set up and even easier to use, so I'd recommend that brand. The only problem I have with it is that my tablet can use the tablet pen, along with touch input, so sometimes, I end up marking an area I didn't mean to because my hand pressed the pad a little too hard.

Personally, I can't really make full use of it, because my hands are a little unsteady. It can pick up on the little jitters sometimes when I'm detailing things.
